Dear ,
This month’s newsletter is inspired by a poem of Rumi, the famous 13th-century Persian poet and Sufi mystic. Maybe you already know it, but I think it cannot be read often enough.
"This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond."

Most people who come to me wish for a change in their life. And many of them want to get rid of something they are fighting.
This could be an old pattern, a depression, a pain, a fear or something else. And often I hear the words “I have worked so hard on this for a long time now, but still nothing has changed.”
My answer most of the time is “stop working on it so hard! Whatever we fight stays with us. Whatever we embrace brings us knowledge and wisdom – about ourselves and the world around us.”
This is exactly what Rumi means when he says “meet them at the door laughing and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”
No matter if you believe in “a beyond” or not – everything that we embrace brings us healing and the desired change that we did not achieve through fighting.
The constellation approach is an amazing gift for embracing and welcoming everything that triggers and burdens us. Then - very often the darkness turns into light, an “enemy” turns out to be a friend, pain a gentle messenger and depression a wake-up call of our soul.
Every situation we are in, every person we meet, every hardship we go through can be transformed in something that allows us to heal old wounds and with this contribute to the beginning of a new chapter in our life that brings us closer to the beautiful being each one of us truly is.
Also, when we allow this to happen, the joyful, happy and magical moments in our life will increase, as our consciousness will increase, our gratitude and our understanding of what life has to offer.
May you be able to welcome every guest in your life with an open heart and listen to their message.
In the spirit of love and reconciliation
Ursula
